Vancouver & Seattle

Hi lovely readers!

With having had a wonderful experience in Vancouver, a week ago, I came back to Switzerland. It was strange for me, 'cause I've been away for 8 weeks. I missed Switzerland very much, but though I had a perfect time in Vancouver.

First it was raining the whole time, but so, I could go shopping in different malls & buy a lot. (With the whole time raining I mean: over six weeks!!) But actually the fact that it was raining made everything alright: I could spend all my money & for the last two weeks I could lay in the sun on the beach. ;)

The City

Vancouver is a wonderful city. Somehow it's small, but if you compare it to Switzerland it's huge! I lived in a hostfamily, who was very nice to me. So, I lived in West Van (actually in the British Properties; there where the Cullen's House from Twilight Saga is). I didn't really hang around there, but it was nice to go for walkings and enjoy the nature (although I was scared of bears... Thank god I didn't see one!)
I really learnt quickly where everything is and so, I didn't get lost!

Shopping

In West Vancouver, there is a mall which is called Park Royal. That mall is more for older people, but it's huge. There you see Aldo Shoes, Nine West, Swarowski and a lot more. If you don't wanna spend that much money, I recommend going to a store which is called Sirens. It's pretty cheap and mostly they have cool clothes.
Antoher cool mall is Pacific Centre. There you find exclusive stores like Guess, Coach, Sephora, Jacob, Hollister, American Eagle Outfitters, Bebe and more. But there are also affordable stores like H&M and Aldo Shoes. My friends and I were mostly in Guess, Aldo, Hollister and H&M.
If it's good weather, a perfect street to go shopping is: Robson Street. There you find cheap stores and also expensive ones. The street is very very long, so I'm sure you'll find everything. A cool stores I was in, is called Dynamite. It is for young women in my age and it's affordable.
The "expensive" street is called Burrard Street. There you find stores like Tiffany's & Co or Burberry.
But the absolutly, most amazing, perfect mall was Metrotown. It's too big to see everything and I was several times there. I didn't even see everything. There you have everything and you easily could survive there for a long time. Kidding... But if you're really into shopping, you'll enjoy the time there perfectly.

Entertainment

The most entertainment we catched on Granville Street. There are a lotta entertainers. Once we saw a band who's called Armchair Cynics. They have a wonderful music and it was like an open air.
But if you're looking for clubs: There are a lotta cool clubs on Granville. But I totally recommend to go to AuBar on Thursdays, 'cause then it's Latino Time ;) I just loved it!
Sometimes I went to the movies on Burrard Street or I was eating dinner in a wonderful restaurant called Italian Kitchen.

Seattle

I also was one day in Seattle for Shopping. If you ever get to Vancouver, you should visit Seattle too. We actually just were in to Malls and a Duty Free Shop. It was cool, 'cause there you find things, you never would find in Europe. We went to Victoria's Secret, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and a lotta more stores. It was very cool but the weather sucked.
